Each 2 hour session includes:
• A bespoke exercise session of movement and meditation that aims to promote co-ordination, cognition, movement and balance.
• Opportunities to explore a range of ideas, information and wellbeing practices to enhance your self-care and respond positively to any changes and challenges resulting from your diagnosis.
• Time to connect with others and share experiences, with the availability of support and advice from specialist practitioners as needed.
Wellbeing topics include:
• Busting myths about MS
• Getting a good night’s sleep
• Navigating the information maze
• The benefits of, and barriers to, exercise
• Healthy eating: understanding how good nutrition can improve your general health and help you manage your MS
• Emotional wellbeing
• Relaxation and rest (looking after your energy levels)
• You and Yours. Additional support for you and your family if you need it
• Communication: expressing your thoughts and needs to others
• Money Matters? What benefits are you entitled to?
